Zero-touch recovery in the Cloud-to-Edge continuum

Goal:
The main objective of this thesis is to enable and support the automatic adaptation of applications in the Cloud-to-Edge continuum when faults occur without human intervention.

Profile and skills:
The work is particularly suited (although not restrictively) for a candidate with interests in network and infrastructure management, cloud-to-edge continuum, and monitoring and modelling of computer system performance, but also with a component of ML techniques to be applied to a networking context.
In addition to the technical skills, the candidate is expected to be able to work in collaboration with other researchers from our research centre and industrial partners collaborating with us
in national and international projects.
English will be the primary working language (i.e., speaking Portuguese is not required).
