Double award for Pharmacogenetic Computational model developed at CISUC

A team from CISUC composed of Filipa G Carvalho, Maryam Abbasi, Bernardete Ribeiro, and Joel P Arrais developed a Deep Learning Model for Anticancer Drug Response. This work is a valuable contribution to the vision of Precision Medicine that takes into account individual genetic variability in order to choose the best treatment.

The results were presented at the IEEE 35th International Symposium on Computer-Based Medical Systems (CBMS 2022), where it received the Best Paper award, and at the 56th Annual Scientific Meeting of the European Society for Clinical Investigation (ESCI 2022) where it received the Best Poster award.
