Abstract: Software-Defined Network presents itself as a networking architecture and paradigm for allowing flexibility on network resources and applications management. The split of network data plan from the control plan is one the main characteristics providing it. This talk will scratch these concepts providing a glimpse on a few developed works that manage network and computing resources to improve load balancing on VoIP and content distribution applications as well as providing data traffic prioritization based on QoS requisites.
