Bernardete Ribeiro, Full Professor at University of Coimbra and former director of CISUC, has won the "Aurora Pons-Porrata Award" at CIARP 2023, held in Coimbra on the 30th of november. 

Organized by The Portuguese Association for Pattern Recognition (APRP), CIARP is an annual international conference on pattern recognition, computer vision, artificial intelligence, datamining, and related fields. In recognition of an outstanding scientific contribution in these fields, this international award is given annually to a woman.
