Today, Professor Bernardete Ribeiro taught her last class. Graduated in Chemical Engineering (1975), Master in Computer Science (1987) and PhD in Electrotechnical Engineering - Computer Science Specialty - (1995), Professor Bernardete Ribeiro registers an exceptional professional career! Professor Bernardete Ribeiro was a tutor at the University of Coimbra, between 1973 and 1975, and a teacher at ISEC, between 1975 and 1996. In 1996, she joined the Computer Engineering Department (Departamento de Engenharia Informática - DEI), where she founded CISUC! While a professor at DEI, Bernardete Ribeiro developed the area of Pattern Recognition, Neural Networks and Intelligent Data Analysis. She also worked in the area of Programming and was coordinator of LEI and MEI. Professor Bernardete Ribeiro was a member of the Scientific Committee, President of APRP, Director of CISUC and was involved in numerous international projects. The DEI and the University of Coimbra thank her for all her work in the service of this institution.
