Presentation title: "A novel AI-based tool deployed via a federated learning platform to assist in the screening, diagnosis, prevention and therapy evaluation of Breast Cancer"

Abstract:

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer diagnosed in women and the mortality rate is high. It is known that breast cancer screening protocols can lead to a significant reduction in mortality rates, but they are mostly used to detect the disease at an early stage. CERN in collaboration with IARC and the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition - EPIC Study is developing a breast cancer risk screening tool, using machine learning algorithms, to predicts a woman's likelihood of developing the disease based on her lifestyle and diet.
