Short Bio

Nuno Antunes is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Informatics Engineering of the University of Coimbra. Since 2008 he has been actively researching on secure and dependable software with the Software and Systems Engineering group of CISUC.

His research interests include testing, fault injection, vulnerability injection and benchmarking, which are applied in the assessment of the dependability and security of cloud applications, intelligent systems, virtualized environments, web services, web and mobile applications, and data management systems (see H2020 ATMOSPHERE, EUBra-BIGSEA, FP7 CECRIS).
He has been working with helping software engineers to create secure systems by proposing automated tools to find vulnerabilities and detect intrusions (see CMU|PT AIDA), and also with benchmarking approaches that allow selecting the most adequate alternatives (see SPEC RG Security).
Nuno is working in measuring and improving the reliability of machine learning-based software systems, in terms of effectiveness, fairness and transparency (see FCT METRICS).
