Short Bio

Jorge Henriques is an Associate Professor with habilitation at Informatics Engineering Department of the University of Coimbra. His main research interests are computational intelligence methodologies with application to bio-signal analysis, diagnosis, prediction, and decision, in particular in the clinical context. He is a senior researcher at the CISUC being the coordinator of the Adaptive Computation Computation Group. His publications include several book chapters and over than 200 papers in international journals and conferences. He got an award in the 10th PhysioNet/Computing in Cardiology Challenge, presenting the best computational algorithm for the prediction of acute hypotensive episodes. He has participated in the organization and program committees of several international conferences in the health informatics area. He has coordinated and participated in several projects at national and international level, namely in the eHealth area: FCT, P2020, FP7, H2020.
