An innovation project financed by the Program Interreg Sudoe of the European Union will work on developing and demonstrating low-cost wireless sensor networks for wildfire prevention and early detection Universities, R&D centers and SMEs from Spain, Portugal, France and Andorra will work for three years on the development of devices to measure meteorological and
environmental parameters relevant to wildfire risk assessment by municipalities and local communities in high fire risk areas.
