The majority of cloud contact center providers have the ambition to have a great geographic coverage. In order to achieve this, these solutions are based on a model in which the communications are based on a solution provided by a third party (CPaaS) which guarantees the desired geographical coverage. Although this solution has its advantages, it also has relevant limitations in some markets were the local regulation is very strict. The alternative is the direct connection with local telcos. However, an analysis of these kind of solutions reveals limitations, not being an effective answer to the identified problem. In this scenario, Talconnect intends to research and implement a new solution that combines multiple direct telco connections with third party CPaaS providers with global coverage. Consortium is compoesed by Talkdesk (main promoter), Vodafone, and University of Coimbra.
